SINOPSIS EN ESPAÑOL
La historia se desarrolla en Sevilla (Valle). Adolfo, muchacho de 20 años, hijo de un pequeño avicultor, tiene una gran afición por la locución y aspira a convertirse en un locutor famoso en los Estados Unidos. Patricia, niña estudiante de bachillerato, hija del gerente del banco de Sevilla se relaciona con Adolfo a través de unas clases de inglés que él le dicta.
La película narra una historia de amor que viven estos dos personajes. Una relación conflictiva obstaculizada por los padres de ella que no consideran al muchacho digno de su hija. Viajar a los Estados Unidos se convierte para la pareja de novios en un objetivo y en un sueño en tanto que lejos de los padres de ella podrán encontrar una tierra prometida para su amor. Sin embargo, la realidad les demuestra que esa opción o no es posible o no es la única.
SINOPSIS EN INGLÉS
This story takes place at a small town in the southwest mountains of Colombia. Adolfo, a 20 years old boy, the son of a modest farmer, works in a small department store promoting goods and playing music for the public. He dreams of becoming an important disk jockey in the United States.
One day he meets Patricia, a rich high school student to whom he begins giving English lessons.
This film tells of their romance, a difficult relationship troubled by Patricia's parents who see Adolfo as unworthy of their daughter. Immigrating to the U.S., a promise land where they can live out their dream of being together, seems to be the only way out. Yet, reality soon shows that leaving their country may not be quite as necessary as Adolfo and Patricia had thought.
